Youth for TNT had the opportunity to be a co-sponsor for the Freedom Concert in Varanasi and we felt proud that Tenzin Namgyal Tethong la accepted our request to be the Chief Guest on the first day of the concert.
It was extremely cold in Varanasi but it was heartening to see around hundreds of people attending the concert. And for them to hear Tenzin Namgyal Tethong la speak about the importance of the concert and also at the same time about the importance of the upcoming Kalon Tripa and Chitue election and the responsibility each of us must take to vote for our candidate. He also spoke about the fact that even though only about 100,000 Tibetans in Exile are taking part in the process but we must always know that we are doing this not only for us but also for all the Tibetans inside Tibet.
